Cliburn Amateur Piano Video Contest

YoutubeContest

This summer the Van Cliburn Foundation hosts its third Cliburn Amateur Piano Video Contest. Beginning June 15, 2012, pianists 35 years and older who do not derive their primary income from the performance, instruction, or composition of music can submit performance videos of 5-10 minutes in length through a special portal that will be available on the Cliburn's Facebook page and Web site. The winner will be determined by public voting and will receive automatic entry into the seventh International Piano Competition for Outstanding Amateurs™. Described by the Boston Globe as "a celebration of music, and the people who have to make music no matter what," the next Amateur Competition will be held in May 2015, on the campus of TCU.

Submission period for videos: June 15-July 31, 2012
