“He’s a patrician, a musician of strength but also subtlety, a pianist who prefers music as art to the piano as a vehicle for showboating.” — Olin Chism, Fort Worth Star-Telegram

For performances that were “flawlessly paced, beautifully detailed and emotionally powerful” (Dallas Morning News), Russian pianist Nikita Mndoyants garnered the attention of critics and audiences. Since his first public recital at age 10, he has toured China, Europe, and the United States in festival, concerto, and solo appearances. Highlights of his 2013-14 season include a residency at the International Music Festival in Wissembourg, performances with the Moscow Symphony Orchestra, and several recitals across the United States. As a composer, Mr. Mndoyants’ piano and chamber works have been performed by Daniel Hope, Nicolas Stavy, the Szymanowski Quartet, and others. The cadenza he wrote and performed for the Mozart D-minor Concerto at the 2013 Cliburn Competition was heralded as a “brilliant confection that ranged from reflection to subtle jazz inspired riffs” (Huffington Post).
