Since his 2009 Cliburn gold medal win, Nobuyuki Tsujii has extensively toured North America, Asia, Europe, and the Middle East, appearing in recital at Carnegie Hall, Kennedy Center, Jordan Hall, and the Ravinia, Aspen, Ruhr, and Tuscan Sun Festivals. He has performed with the Philharmonia Orchestra, BBC Philharmonic, Mariinsky Theatre Orchestra, National Philharmonic of Russia, Orchestra de la Svizzera Italiana, and European orchestras, as well as every major orchestra in Japan. In North America, he has toured with the Takács Quartet and appeared with the orchestras of Edmonton, Mississippi, Santa Fe, Corpus Christi, Fort Worth, and Hudson Valley. A documentary detailing his extraordinary achievement as the first-ever gold medalist from Japan in the Van Cliburn International Piano Competition was broadcast on NHK television throughout Japan. He has several bestselling records on the Avex label, as well as two recordings of his Cliburn Competition performances released by harmonia mundi.
