The Cliburn receives $5,000 grant for Musical Awakenings® from Colonial Country Club Charitable Fund of the Community Foundation of North Texas

The Cliburn is honored to receive a $5,000 grant for its 2012-2013 Musical Awakenings® program from Colonial Country Club Charitable Fund of the Community Foundation of North Texas. These funds were generated through the 2012 Crowne Plaza Invitational at Colonial Country Club and will help the Cliburn present 125 programs to over 34,000 second, third, and fourth-grade students in 10 school districts: Fort Worth, Arlington, Carroll, Castleberry, Crowley, Dallas, Everman, Hurst-Euless-Bedford, Mansfield, and White Settlement in the 2012-2013 school year. Of the 125 schools, 84 percent are Title 1, and in the schools being served, 71 percent of the children are eligible for free or reduced meals.
