The Cliburn

Cliburn Live

Eric5This season, for the first time ever, the Cliburn presented live webcasts of select Cliburn Concerts. The new Cliburn LIVE program launched with an opening recital by Beatrice Rana on Tuesday, September 30, at 7:30 p.m. CDT at Bass Performance Hall. Ms. Rana, 21, drew mass attention for her “intensely personalized music-making” (Dallas Morning News) during the 2013 Van Cliburn International Piano Competition, capturing both the silver medal and the Audience Award.

The John Giordano Tribute Concert at Bass Hall on April 7, 2015, was also featured on Cliburn LIVE this season. That special event honoring the Cliburn Competition jury chairman from 1973 to 2013, included performances by seven Cliburn winners.

Viewers from around the world were able to watch these programs live for free on Cliburn.org, and now, full performance videos have been posted on the Cliburn Youtube page for on-demand viewing.
