Cliburn in the Community

Cliburn in the CommunityThe Cliburn presents Cliburn in the Community annually in the Fort Worth area. These special performances are presented free of charge to children and their families, senior citizens, and the community-at-large to broaden and enrich their experiences of live piano performances.

In October 2013, the Cliburn collaborated with the Fort Worth Youth Orchestra to present Alex McDonald, a 2013 Cliburn Competition competitor, in a solo recital performance at St. Mary of the Assumption Roman Catholic Church. In spring 2014, 2009 Cliburn Competitor competitor Spencer Myer  presented a concert for the students, families, and faculty at H.O.P.E. Farm, Inc., and Sara Daneshpour, 2013 Cliburn Competition competitor, will perform for a group of senior citizens at the Resource Connection Center in Fort Worth. In May 2014, Alex McDonald will return to perform with the HEB School District’s High School Orchestra.
