Sponsorship Opportunities

There are many ways to support the Cliburn, including sponsoring a program, giving in-kind support, or buying an ad for a program book.

Enjoy exclusive benefits and recognition specially tailored for your company or foundation by sponsoring a project or program from those listed below.

  • Van Cliburn International Piano Competition
Approximately 75 projects are available for sponsorship for each quadrennial competition. Many projects, such as the screening recitals and media project have worldwide visibility. Others bring intense local visibility, including sponsorship of a jury member or a hospitality suite for the press. The Fourteenth Competition will take place May 24-June 9, 2013.

  • International Piano Competition For Outstanding Amateurs™
Inaugurated in 1999, the International Piano Competition for Outstanding Amateurs celebrates and recognizes the importance of music-making, both on and off the stage, and is for those individuals who play the piano as a serious pastime rather than as a profession. Competitors must be at least 35 years of age by the start of competition, and cannot derive their principal source of income from playing or teaching piano. The weeklong festival brings together 75 talented amateur pianists for seven days of performances, symposia, and social events. The seventh Amateur Competition will take place in spring 2015.
  • Cliburn Concerts
Widely regarded as the foremost classical performance series in the region, Cliburn Concerts features the world's leading recitalists, ensembles, composers, and rising stars, presenting them at Bass Performance Hall and the Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth.

  • Education
The Cliburn addresses the need for quality music education in our community--with children in the public schools, with underserved populations such as senior citizens in community centers, and with the general population. Programs offered for free include Musical Awakenings®, piano lessons, community concerts, Cliburn Conversations, and Adopt-a-Competitor during the Van Cliburn International Piano Competition.

  • Gala
The premier social event of the year, the Cliburn Benefit Gala attracts 500 community leaders and patrons for an evening of fine dining and dancing. Proceeds support the Cliburn's annual operations, including winners' tours, concerts, and education programs.

Other opportunities to support the Cliburn include:

  • In-Kind Donations
The Cliburn appreciates product donations, which helps spread the word of your company through your products.
  • Advertise With The Cliburn
With the Cliburn currently celebrating the milestone occasion of its 50th Anniversary and preparing for the Fourteenth Van Cliburn International Piano Competition-which will welcome 30 of the finest young pianists to Fort Worth in May and June 2013 and capture the world's attention-there has never been a better time to get your brand in front of the Cliburn's unique audience. Program books for the annual Cliburn Concerts season and the quadrennial Cliburn Competition, which offer our well-educated, highly-engaged patrons invaluable insight into the artists, competitors, and music they are experiencing, are an ideal, cost-effective way to do just that.
