Planned Gifts

Planned gifts, sometimes known as deferred gifts, are any gift made in your lifetime or at your death as part of your overall financial and/or estate planning. Contributions received through a planned gift are designated for the Van Cliburn Endowment Trust, which helps build a strong and permanent endowment thus securing a solid financial foundation for the Cliburn. There are various ways to plan ahead to support the Cliburn such as:

  • Wills
  • Bequests
  • Life Insurance
  • Qualified Retirement Plans
  • Real Estate
  • Charitable Remainder Trusts
  • Gift Annuities
  • Pooled Income Funds

By letting us know your future plans for the Cliburn, you will become a member of the Legacy Society, which was instituted to celebrate those who have created a lasting remembrance of their love for classical music by including the Van Cliburn Foundation in their wills or estate plans. Through their extraordinary contribution, members of the Legacy Society have declared their commitment to the Cliburn's long-range vision. Please contact us if you would like to discuss how you can impact the Cliburn's future.

"We should all support a major aspect of humanity and make a significant contribution to a cause we consider important." -Esther Swallen Shores, retire piano teacher, Washington D.C.
