Beatrice Rana, piano

[Rana] delivered an industrial-strength, knockout recital…with confidence as well as with a great deal of intuition and sensitivity.
Washington Times

Italian pianist Beatrice Rana drew mass attention during the 2013 Cliburn Competition for “intensely personalized music-making” (Dallas Morning News) that “had an electrical current running through virtually every measure” (The Plain Dealer). Already a rising star, Ms. Rana was named “One to Watch” by International Piano magazine just before her Cliburn appearance. Recent and upcoming debuts include: Detroit Symphony, Los Angeles Philharmonic, Kennedy Center, and Paris’ Théâtre des Champs Élysées with conductors such as Yannick Nézet-Séguin, Miguel Harth-Bedoya, Leonard Slatkin, and Fayçal Karoui.

Program: BACH Partita No. 1 in B-flat Major, BWV 825; CHOPIN Sonata No. 2 in B-flat Minor, op. 35; PROKOFIEV Sonata No. 6 in A Major, op. 82
